![]() ![]() This game must be played immediately. It is currently the #1 rated game on Newgrounds, and for good reason. So go play it over there now! In other news, some folks over at the TRMK forum were a tad disappointed about the cancelled Mortal Kombat Arcade HD Kollection. And who can blame them? Rather than mope and complain about it, they decided to do something about it, and put together their own not-for-profit high-definition. Their thread has already reached over 150 pages, and has even caught the eye of the Mortal Kombat development team, who were impressed by what they saw. Check out the thread now. One of the contributers, calactyte, has created high-def versions of some of the fonts used in the MK1 arcade game. He has graciously agreed to allow them to be posted here. So without further ado: No release date has been announced, but you can be sure that the Kombat Pavilion will be following this exciting project. |

![]() If you haven't seen the original yet, it is recommended you pick both of them up. Besides the appearance of a Sub-Zero-like ninja assassin named Lin-Ku, the appearance of Daniel and Carlos Pesina in the first film (who played Johnny Cage, the palette-swapped ninjas, and the thunder god Raiden in the early Mortal Kombat games), there are numerous other MK references to justify such a purchase. Also, check out the trailer for Press Start 2 Continue as well! |

![]() Of course, it wasn't just old-school fans who would dedicate themselves to making their own game in Mortal Kombat's likeness and image – this still goes on today. Case in point, Mortal Kombat: Outworld Assassins: ![]() So give these games a shot, it's definitely something fun to do while waiting for Mortal Kombat (2011) to arrive in less than two months' time! Check out more in the Games Section. |

I am referring to, of course, the numerous fake Mortal Kombat characters that used to be very popular back in Mortal Kombats heyday. Many magazines used to run stories and print fan letters for fun, discussing characters that never did turn out to be real... although a couple were eventually made canon, after the fact. Check it out: |
